0g "turnout sheets" are not always the best investment. Anything without any fill (0g) is a waste of money if you are using it for 'waterproof reasons' I know...this may come as a shock to most of you!

0g sheets are the least likely to hold waterproofing..think of wearing a rain coat with nothing underneath it, chances are you would feel hot, sweaty and clammy and moisture builds on the inside as well as outside...they are "shower proof" but not soak proof, meaning if your horse stands outside during a downpour, most likely, you will feel moisture underneath the sheet... especially if the sheets are older than 3 years and no longer have the strong factory applied waterproofing. Items with any fill..even as little as 50g, are much better at staying shower proof, the inside filling allows moisture to circulate and dry compared to a shell of fabric. I wish blanket companies would not even put out these sheets as it's misleading that they stay waterproof. This is worth keeping in mind when purchasing and managing your expectations for re-proofing!
